Help needed in Hardee County for Hurricane clean up

6 Oct 2022 by Reginald Bellamy

Hardee County was hit hard by Hurricane Ian and is in need of help to clean-up. Here is a message from the scout professional covering that area:

"Send Me Missions, a non-profit organization that partners with local and global to unite people together to make a difference by serving others, has requested volunteers to help Hardee County Residents recover in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian. They will need volunteers for everything from clean-up to food distribution. Crystal Lake Villages, a retirement community, has asked for help in removing damaged items from homes for residents that are unable to physically do the work.  On Sat, Oct. 8th we are requesting 100 scouts to come into Hardee County to assist the community. Scouts and Units interested in assisting could contact Rebeca Ibarra at HardeeBSA@gmail.com with an estimate of volunteers and if you will be able to work from 8am-12pm, 12pm-4pm or part of all of the day."

If you or anyone on your unit can help, reach out to Rebeca on the ground in Hardee directly.
